Day care services deliver positive outcomes for older people, including increased well-being, improved quality of life through greater social interaction and more opportunties to become involved in their local community.

Day care offers new friendships, entertainment and companionship for people who are sometimes house-bound and often socially isolated
Where an older person is being looked after by a carer, the day centre offers a much valued regular break.

Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland currently provides over 1700 day care places on behalf of Leicester City Council,  Leicestershire County Council, Rutland County Council and the NHS in  Leicester City and Leicwestershire and Rutland.

All day centres provide transport and a meal.
