Fit as a Fiddle

Fit as a Fiddle is a new programme designed to help older people to live more healthy, active and fulfilling lives. 

The programme is funded through the Big Lottery Fund to deliver a range of courses to older people throughout the country in:

  • physical activity
  • healthy eating
  • healthy lifestyles 

Locally, the Fit As A Fiddle Program is funding two projects called the  Urban Good Life and the Rural Good Lifekeeping fit

These projects Are promoting healthy life styles to people in the  50 plus age group. The project is keen to work with a diverse range of older people and to date has been successful in working with older people from black and minority ethnic communities, and older people living in rural and isolated areas.

Activities on offer include: exercise , meditation, advice on diet, and various conditions that could occur in later life.
