Recycling and Age Concern
Recycling your ink cartridges and mobile phones can assist us with our work.
Every year millions of used printer, fax, copier cartridges and mobile phones are thrown away.
- 45 million old handsets are estimated to be unused in Britain.
- 15 million mobile phones are upgraded annually
equating to 1500 tonnes of potentially hazardous landfill every year - 30 million printer cartridges are disposed of each year
Many of these products can be recycled and have worth for raising vital funds for Age Concern's work with older people.
How you can help:
Age Concern's recycling scheme would give us the opportunity to demonstrate to customers that we are committed to the environment and improving the lives of older people and we can all participate by:-
Recycling your printer, fax and copier cartridges and mobile phones by placing in the recycling box, or envelopes located at Earl Shilton Senior Citizens Centre, Gloucester House, Lansdowne House, or any of our shops.
The Benefits:
- You will be visibly supporting Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland generate vital income without giving any money.
- By recycling products that would normally be discarded you can help save the environment through reducing the damaging impact waste inflicts on the environment.
