Runners put their best feet forward for local older people 19th November 2008
Dr Roger Grist and Mr Matthew Noble went the extra mile for Age Concern Leicestershire & Rutland by running the 2008 Flora London Marathon in April.
They raised a fantastic sum of £3,000 to help Age Concern Leicestershire & Rutland carry out vital work with, and on behalf of, local older people.
Tony Donovan, Executive Director of Age Concern Leicestershire & Rutland, said:
"We're delighted that Roger and Matthew ran for us and managed to raise so much money. We rely heavily on fundraising events to help us to make a positive difference to the lives of so many older people in Leicestershire and Rutland and enable them to make more of life."
Perhaps you could approach someone you know who enjoys running and who might be also be persuaded to raise money for us.
