The Saathi Group raise a laugh and money! 19th November 2008
The Saathi Group is an independent older people's group supporting ethnic minority communities within the Loughborough area and normally meet at the John Storer House every Thursday.
They organised a Gujurati Comedy Event at Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre on the 27th September 2008. The evening was a huge success and very much enjoyed by those who attended from local communities. Profits of £501 were donated to Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland.
The Executive Director of the charity, Anthony Donovan said, "A lot of hard work and motivation is required to organise a successful event like this. We appreciate and are very grateful for the group's donation to Age Concern. Thank you"
