Helping others after your death

Leaving a legacy

Making a will allows you to go on helping others after your death if you choose to leave a legacy to a charity.  Residuary legacies are very effective as they tend to be inflation proof.  Charitable legacies can also have inheritance tax benefits.

'Making Your Will' - Age Concern Factsheet 7 , provides information for anyone wanting to make a will.

A legacy of £100 would help us to provide a Befriending Service to a very isolated and lonely older person. It would make a real difference to their life.

£35,000 would pay for a new ambulance for older people in your area. It would ensure that older people can get out and about to day centres where they can enjoy companionship and access to Age Concern services for many years to come.

£100,000 would enable our Information & Advice service to continue running, a service that supports thousands of older people each year by providing not just information but also assisting with claiming essential and life-changing unclaimed benefits.

The need is great - whatever you can afford, please help us to plan for and safeguard the future of needy older people by remembering Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland in your will.
