Telephone Befriending Service
This is a service that phones people in their own homes (at no cost to them) to have a chat. We have a dedicated team of multi-ethnic bilingual volunteers who help us do this. We get people together occasionally to join in social activities. It is well thought of by all of the 200 people who use it. The service relieves social isolation with a friendly call and someone who can put you in touch with help if required.
Currently we provide telephone befriending in Gujarati and Hindi. We are seeking to extend this service with potential community partners.
